A $15 daily resort fee is charged at the hotel upon check-out.
What to expect: Grand elegance and a reputation as an anything-you-desire "fantasy resort" bring an adult crowd to this resort and spa from all over the world. The large sand-bottom children's pool and a mini water slide make the place more family-friendly. The resort provides tranquility and a sense of complete isolation within its 40 acres, offering beautiful grounds (even the parking lot is shaded by trees) and relief from outside-world stresses. Yet, a world-class golf course is adjacent to the resort, and a pretty shopping-and-dining mall lies just a 10-minute walk down Kaanapali Beach.
Amenity highlights: So large and so complete, the resort truly offers something for everyone: a 16-inch computerized telescope and giant binoculars for studying the stars; a 750,000-gallon pool with a 150-foot tube-shaped water slide; a sand-entry children's activity pool; a garden-grotto spa adjacent to two little waterfalls; 15 smart shops, including one devoted to traditional Hawaiian quilts, in a skylighted and wood-lined pedestrian mall; an extensive collection of Asian art and artifacts spread throughout the buildings and the manicured grounds; Hyatt Regency's signature garden-atrium in one of the resort's three towers; the resort's own 55-foot catamaran for snorkeling and sailing excursions; a luau and Polynesian music-and-dance show; a full-service health-and-beauty spa; a zillion activities to choose from; and famed Kaanapali Beach and the warm, blue Pacific Ocean.

An astronomy center is just one example, as the Hyatt Regency strives to be a "fantasy resort," fulfilling every desire—including that of snoozing in a hammock next to the beach. The resort's own 55-foot catamaran, available for snorkeling and sailing excursions, is another attraction. A day spa and full-service beauty salon, with massage and nail-care also available in shaded canopies by the beach, is another option.
Romantic dinners for two can be booked under an oceanside canopy, with a private server, a four-course meal, and champagne. Couples can also enjoy the festivities at the Dream of the Pacific Luau, with a Hawaiian buffet dinner and a Polynesian music-dance show.
