• Toscana by Bice Tuscancuisine outpost of celebrated South Florida restaurateur Roberto Ruggieri. Streetlevel, linenservice restaurant with dining room and sidewalk umbrella tables. Bar/lounge with pianist nightly. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Dinner menu antipasti include tuna carpaccio, eggplant stuffed with goat cheese and mozzarella. Pasta choices include fettucine Alfredo, tagliolini with shrimp and chicken. Second courses include veal scaloppine with butter/lemon sauce, New York steak with greenpeppercorn sauce.

In contrast to the hotel's Neoclassical design, a spacious business center displays a starkly contemporary style of grays, yellows, and exposed duct work and offers two flat-screen computers with high-speed Internet connections (surcharges), a full range of business services, and boardroom, conference room, and day office for rent. A fitness room off the rooftop pool deck contains a universal gym, cardio machines, and free weights. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for laptops with network cards. (Network cards are available for rent.) The hotel does not offer parking. The hotel offers 157 guestrooms in the top four floors of a 15-story retail/office/hotel building built in 1991 to reflect the Neoclassical style of the historic, 1926 Rotunda it incorporates. (The lobby is on the second floor above ground-floor shops and restaurants.)

Extra-spacious rooms feature separate sitting areas with sofas (no pullouts available). White ceilings and white walls with a pale-green band at their tops are trimmed with two mahogany strips to match hand-carved mahogany furniture. Sitting areas contain green-marble bars; bathrooms provide green-marble vanities. Guests receive a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. Fresh flowers grace bathrooms; bathrobes are supplied. Hand-colored photographs and drawings from Coral Gables' early history decorate walls. Sitting rooms include work desks, fax machines, and complimentary wireless Internet access for laptops with network cards. (Network cards are available for rent.)
