Business and vacationing clients mingle in the adjoining Le Boudoir Lounge for drinks or coffee in the evening.
Amenity highlights: This hotel’s various staircases and hallways to different areas produce a homey atmosphere. Original moldings and plaster medallions on the high ceilings are reminders of the craftsmanship of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The hotel's emphasis on original sculptures and works of art, placed at every turn of the halls, adds even more personality. Insider tip: The McCord Museum of Canadian history, 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) east of the hotel on Sherbrooke Street opposite McGill University, houses the Notman Collection. It’s a huge archive of photographs of the city taken about the same time these mansions were inhabited by some of the city’s wealthiest and most well-known residents. McCord Museum is closed on Mondays.
